OceanaGold is a significant multinational gold producer, with a portfolio of operating, development and exploration assets. Assets are located on the South Island of New Zealand, the northern Luzon area of the Philippines and a minority interest in a joint venture in Australia.
The Company currently produces ~230,000 ounces of gold per annum from its New Zealand operations. The Didipio Mine in the Philippines commenced commercial production as at 1 April 2013 and is expected to produce 100,000 ounces of gold and 14,000 tonnes of copper on average per annum over the life of mine. Exploration is focused on extension of mine life and near mine potential and the Company has mineral reserves of 3.64Moz of gold and 240Kt of copper (as at 31 December 2012).
